Brenda Measells Dowdle is associated with the firm in an of counsel capacity. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science and obtained her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1980. She has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Her practice consists of civil litigation, predominantly insurance defense and uninsured/underinsured insurance matters. Ms. Dowdle is licensed to practice in Tennessee and is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations and Lawyers Association for Women. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the NBA Members Services Board. She has served as past Secretary and President of the Lawyers Association for Women and was a member of the Hearing Committee, Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee for several years. She was formerly with Lassiter, Tidwell & Hildebrand, PLLC. Ms. Dowdle is also active in the community and her church. She has served on several Boards, most recently as founding member of the Board of Directors and past President of A Step Ahead Foundation of Middle Tennessee. She was a member of the Board of Deacons of First Presbyterian Church for six years, having served as Secretary for one year. She was also a past Secretary and Chair of the Local Missions Committee at First Presbyterian Church.
