J. Timothy Crenshaw

J. Timothy Crenshaw is of counsel to the firm. His practice is focused on construction law and litigation with an emphasis on the representation of specialty trade contractors; however, he has represented clients at all levels of the construction delivery process in litigation, mediation, and arbitration of disputes, including mechanics lien and bond claims, delay and defect claims, bidding, scheduling, extra work and other payment and contract issues.

Tim also counsels construction industry clients on risk management, contract drafting and contractor licensing issues. He regularly writes and speaks on topics related to construction law before attorneys and construction industry groups as well as clients. Recent articles and presentations include: “Top Ten Mistakes Leading to Loss of Lien Rights in Tennessee,” “Construction Lien and Payment Law in Tennessee,” “Tennessee’s Revised Construction Lien Law,” “Advanced Construction Law in Tennessee” and “Construction Payment Remedies in Tennessee.” He is a member of the American Bar Association, Forum on the Construction Industry, the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations.
